Today's problem and our solution
Intervention, permanent housing, mentoring, job training, career building, life changing…
Problem
There were 66,436 people in Los Angeles County experiencing homelessness and 3,125 persons who were counted as homeless in San Bernardino County. The previous San Bernardino count and subpopulation survey was completed in 2019 when 2,607 persons were counted. A comparison of the last two counts reveals that 518 more persons were counted in 2020, which represents an increase of 19.9% and that grew in 2021.

Solutions
Hope to change, has created programs and initiatives to provide guidance, resources, information, and pipelines to empower veterans to move toward positive changes in areas of financial literacy, job growth, health & Wellness, and community services. To support these initiatives, we have created programs like The Veterans Enrichment Program to support these initiatives to help close the gap in workforce and economic disparities.
(TVEP)
The Veteran Enrichment Program (TVEP) is an initiative which confronts the disparities in the efforts to fight homelessness and the barriers it places on something as simple as receiving ID cards, workforce force placement, and economic deficiencies. What sets this program apart from most other initiatives is what we call comprehensive intervention, which includes most notably on site holistic comprehensive intervention, career planning, and vocational training in specialized areas. We provide supportive services through our case workers to make sure every veteran can be matched up with the right program to maximize his or her potential.

HOUSING
Permanent Affordable Housing is a long-term solution. It is our goal to end Veteran homelessness and provide the stability and the starting point they may need to address the underlying causes of their situations. Our homes are in a community where veterans can live their best lives and give back to their community. We hope to empower Veterans toward healthy reunification with their families and communities through permanent housing and our supportive services program.
